# What are Studio Policies? First, "studio," "program," "UNLV Percussion Area," and "Percussion Program" all mean the same thing. Our Studio Policies are the core of our "Handbook." Every Area in the School of Music must maintain a handbook of its unique expectations and requirements. These policies are the enrollment rules, governing principles, professional and academic expectations, and progression thresholds that make our program *our program*. ## Adherence All current students are expected to have read these policies and to know where to find them. > [!Warning] Consequences > Failure to follow the Handbook can lower your course grades — even to failing. Disregard may bring disciplinary action from the Coordinator and/or School of Music Director. Severe infractions may be referred to the [Academic Misconduct and Integrity](https://www.unlv.edu/osrr/academic-integrity) office. > **"I didn't know" is not an excuse.** > [!Info] Use this site > This site *is* the Handbook — searchable, regularly maintained, and available 24/7. The printed/PDF Handbook is a subset of what lives here. Everything you need to start, progress, and graduate in good standing — and get the most from your money, time, and energy — is here.
