# What are Juries? "Juries" are a Performance Exam that (in essence) functions as a "Final Exam" for the student's Applied Lessons course. This exam serves as a student's demonstration of learning and progression by the end of a given semester. ## What to expect - Students must prepare three separate works illustrating skill on Snare, Timpani, and Keyboard percussion.[^1] - Students must also sight read and perform various skills test on rudiments, scales, and other items as defined by the faculty. - Students must fill out their [[4.4.2 Jury Forms|Jury Forms]] and provide them to adjudicating panel - Undergraduates still completing [[4.3.0 What are Proficiency Minimums|Proficiency Minimums]] must bring copies of their filled minimums sheets. - Students should arrive 15min before their scheduled time - Students should expect to be cut short during their performance for the purposes of time ## Schedule and Format > [!NOTE] Always and Forever > Percussion Juries are ***always*** on the Monday of Finals Week beginning at 12pm in HFA 235 [^1]: Substitutions are permitted with instructor consent
