# Pre-Music Major The "Pre-Music Major" is, essentially, the "holding cell" for students who've applied to be a music major, but have not auditioned before faculty and been approved for music study. If a student is deemed "not ready" for [[Applied Study]], they will remain a Pre-Music Major as their listed major until faculty deems them ready.
